Follow related website bookmark from Reddit: Heading to Denmark for my Masters - could use some crash course information. Howdy all, 26 year old male from the US here about to accept an invitation to attend the University of Copenhagen for my Masters work. General background information - I got my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University's Barret, the Honors College and Hugh Downs School of Human Communication. I currently have 7 years of corporate work experience focused in Commercial Real Estate and Business Sales/Mergers & Acquisitions. Mostly focused around research, marketing, mapping/GIS and IT. I've been to 31 countries, mostly in Europe and the Americas and am an experienced traveler. I run several travel resource websites as entrepreneurial projects on the side. So far the entirety of my time spent in Copenhagen/Denmark was 3 days this past July. Central interests include Business, Entrepreneurship (focused on social media, virtual worlds and education), Technology, Ballroom/Latin Dancing, Social Media/Web and Travel Industry related materials. I have several existing contacts in Denmark who are people I've met on the road. I'll be applying for (starting shortly) a 2 year student visa, and a work visa. My program will be in English. I do not speak Danish (but will be aiming for immersion/focusing on learning it). SO, what I need to know. General tips, suggestions, and more open ended advice about everything from the city to the visa process. Current questions I have: - How does Denmark's cell phone system compare to the US. Is it better/worse cheaper/more expensive? Especially smart phones and data package pricing? - I understand that biking is a major mode of transport in the summer. What should I expect/prepare for in the winter. How should this impact how I find housing? - Tips or general rules of thumb for apartment pricing? Resources for finding roommates? I'm happy to live with flatmates, but would prefer my own room. Should I go through University Housing or is that overly expensive? - Are you aware of any entrepreneurial networking groups/events? How vibrant is the young entrepreneurs community in Denmark? - What are the major differences in the education system between the US and Denmark, culture/class/format wise? - Is there any clothing I should stock up on while stateside, or make most of my purchases once I arrive? - What is the best setup/option for transferring funds for use from USD -> DKK? How do I minimize or avoid currency exchange fees? - Any secondary aspects of the Visa process I need to be careful of? What questions should I be asking? Thanks all in advance. Really appreciate it! more Related arizona estate marketing real videos 2012-05-18:

Realestatemarketingthisweek - Real Estate Marketing - Rent skimming and other foreclosure scams. Home Owner Beware. - With Michael J Barnes, Brett Fallon and Dan Havey of Real Estate Marketing This Week Part 8 - And what rent skimming is, a shark as I like to call them, a shark will go out and find a vacant he, and they will go in and change the locks and maybe clean it up a little if need be but then they will rent it out to somebody. They will move that person into the he, they will get their $1000 or $1500 a month rent payment on the he, and 3 or 4 months down the road the repo manes knocking on the door and says, hey you have to get out. He says this to the tenant of course and the tenant says, hey you dont own the he, and it turns out that the guy that they were paying rentom for the last 3 or 4 months didnt own the he either. So you are talking about somebody, a shark, who goes out and finds a vacant he, breaks in, changes the locks, cleans it up, puts it up on Craigs list and rents it out and collects the money. He never owned the he, he never had any rights to the he, then all of a sudden the sheriff shows up and says you have to go. How can that be legal? Well its not legal; its not legal at all. Bece the person who rented you the he knows that they dont own the he, now of course the tenant doesnt know that. Now under Fannie Maes new guidelines, that tenant, if they are lucky enough to have Fannie Mae own that property ...
