I do not throw parties or ever attempt to make any excessive noise in my apartment. In fact, most days, I am not even here. When I am home, I get a complaint almost every night that I am walking too "heavy". And the one time I had just 2 people over, who weren't making much noise either (we were playing Monopoly) on a weekend evening on Labor Day weekend, I get a complaint for being too loud. I want to appease my neighbor very much, but this is getting ridiculous. I tried accommodating his wishes at first since I understand what it is like to be bothered by noise (my upstairs neighbor routinely walks around in high heals which are heard quite vibrantly in my apartment), but at this point his complaints are becoming more of a nuisance than my noise. It seems like the minute I turn on my electric toothbrush after 10pm he will come running upstairs, causing me to get dressed, open the door, listen to him, and go on with my night. What can I do?
