Hi all, I'm still new to online dating but I've been getting frustrated at the fact that I've been getting profile views but absolutely no messages, so I thought I'd turn to Reddit for help (and yes I have perused the do's and don'ts as well as sending out individually written messages). The profile below is not on okcupid but another site, but I have very similar profiles on okcupid and others (this one happens to be the one I'm happiest with). So please be gentle but also honest... I'm thinking I might be a bit too open and be saying too much? Education: Some university ---------- I'm [sgst], I'm 26 and a kind, honest guy with a good sense of humour :) There are two really important things in my life: my work and my family. I'm serious about the work I do and I've been working hard the last few years in the family business, and also own my own consultancy business. My family are an awesome cornerstone to everything and I'm very close to them. I also love my friends, of course, and feel that people are what make life interesting and fun. I'd like to travel more as well - I've been to the US a few times, New Zealand and Australia, and all round Europe, but I still have an insatiable urge to see the rest of the world when I can. So I like photography, being creative (I play drums & guitar badly, used to write a lot and would love to take up pottery), cooking, being outside and active, seeing friends and making people laugh. I also love music of various genres: classic rock, metal, jazz, drum n bass, dubstep, blues, acoustic guitar, and probably other stuff too! I have long hair and am a little "alternative", but I don't have tatoos or piercings, and I like to think I dress pretty sharp... except at gigs, where denim and leather are the uniform of course. I just don't do clubbing any more, but I'm fine with pubs and more quiet nights out :) On an unrelated note, I love cats. Quite intense, intelligent (if I do say so myself!) and emotional too. I'm not afraid of commitment but at the moment I'm just up for keeping things not too serious and seeing how things go. I like talking about stuff, from feelings to catching up to deep philosophical and political debates. I like cuddling and am a good listener. Basically, I'm nice, reliable, supportive and dependable. I also love making people laugh, but I'm quite shy so you'll have to get to know me before my sense of humour comes out!
