Follow related website bookmark from Reddit: A photo of a girl getting gang-molested is posted in r/WTF. The top-voted comments are against it. One terrible buried comment says "nothing says she was raped". Guess which So at this point, I'm wondering if [/r/ShitRedditSays](/r/ShitRedditSays+none) should be called [/r/ShitSaidBySomeRandomDownvotedJackasses](/r/ShitSaidBySomeRandomDownvotedJackasses) instead. Some of the top comments in the [/r/WTF](http://www.reddit.com/r/WTF/comments/r2sdt/mardi_gras/) thread are: "That's fucked up." [200] "this picture makes me feel helpless and violated just looking at it." [133] "This is so fucked up. Beyond words." [186] Many *many* comments were along these lines. Yet the good folks at SRS chose to highlight the most vile horrible comment in the thread, which now sits at -24 votes. [http://www.reddit.com/r/ShitRedditSays+none/comments/r3db0/tw_photo_of_gang_molestation_to_wtf_brings_on_the/](http://www.reddit.com/r/ShitRedditSays+none/comments/r3db0/tw_photo_of_gang_molestation_to_wtf_brings_on_the/) Of course, they proceed to pile on as if they are carrying out a brave attack against reddit at large, when in reality they are agreeing with the hivemind 100%! SRS proves itself to be a farce, day after day. Are we to take them seriously when they cherry pick comments that don't actually represent the tone of the thread, and then hold the comment up as a shining example of how the majority behave on reddit? Any person with half a brain can open up that thread and see that the vast majority of the comments are in fact against the behavior shown in the picture. The fundamental problem with the SRS strategy is that it requires its visitors to not visit any non-SRS subreddits, and just trust the submitters that the wild horrible stuff being posted is truly a representative sample of the majority of comments found on reddit. Their entire premise is that the majority of comments on reddit are horrible. And maybe there are some real dullards who visit SRS and actually believe what they are seeing is just an unbiased sample of true reddit, I don't know. It only takes one visit to the reddit homepage to show that the premise behind SRS is flimsy and unsupported by reality. SRS really seems to be the Fox News/Rush Limbaugh of reddit. They highlight some extreme examples and hold them up representative of reddit as a whole. It's sort of like when Fox News shows a gay pride demonstration, and they only show shots of BDSM gimp bear types with dildo earrings, so that the elderly folks watching will get horrified and think all gay people are scary monsters like the ones shown on the TV. more Related extreme bdsm videos 2012-05-21:

Here's an old tutorial we shot for a single limb/column tie. To be honest, I don't do it this way any more. I've updated it by adding a simple parcel knot (the first stage of tying your shoe laces!) before the final knot with the twist in it. The advantage of this is that it reduces the chances of the knot capsizing and turning into two half hitches, which can slip. I'm working on a proper set of tutorials that I hope to release later this year on DVD, which will go beyond the merely technical and show the ties in much greater detail. Knowing how to tie the knots is only a small part of the skill ;-)
