I often have conversations with my friends and see the same on reddit about which game is going to be GOTY (Game of the Year). This year the big money is on Skyrim although my hunch is that Skyward Sword will win. However herein lies the issue, when we say a game will 'win' GOTY, which GOTY award do we mean? As far as I know there isn't a catch all awards ceremony for video games and the Spike TV awards are kinda shitty PR events. GDC is too far away from the end of the year to really have an overall impact. I assume many people take GOTY to mean the overall pick from websites like IGN and Gamespot but without an official GOTY winner then these are just as good as anyone else's personal pick for GOTY and come with no more credibility than IGN or Gamespot do themselves. Admittedly GOTY is subjective anyway but without an official GOTY title that all adhere to, like the Oscars, what exactly are we discussing? Its all well to leave a comment saying, "who cares? This being reddit I'm sure there will be some opposition in giving games labels and whatnot but for a bit of a fun and to get a general consensus of redditors personal feelings I think it would serve a decent, fun purpose. I have no idea who to ask to implement this but save starting a pointless second post I'll just add it into this edit. Super Noobs 3 here: So its finally done, the second in the series of Super Noobs! There are a couple of sketchesom other games involved (Assassins Creed 2 and Red Dead Redemption) but the funtage, if you can call it a funtage, is mainly fosed on MW2. I will most likely be making a third Super Noobs when Black Opses out but in the mean time i'l be making some other shorter videos!
