The ACS is used by so many sectors of society, including business, to help plan for the future. It's hilarious that the GOP sees it as an intrusion on peoples' lives when it goes back to the founding fathers they love to quote so much. But it's also sad. We need this data to govern better, plan better, and grow the economy. And it's a free, publicly available dataset unlike a lot of the research the American people finance.
