I have one of those regular default microsoft xbox live headsets, and as any of you who have played with me can attest, its mic sucks. It seems like the only way anyone can hear me at all is if I talk loudly with the mic practically in my mouth.
Does anyone have any tips for getting these headsets to work better?
Or is it hopeless and I just need a better model? If so, is it worth spending the extra cash for a surround sound headset?

Problem:
The iPhone's earbuds
don't like to stay in my ears.
But I do like that hold/skip switch.
And replacement headsets aren't
as elegant as Apple's pack-in.
Solution:
iPhone + Etymotic ER?6i = happiness. :)
