Okay, hand #1: Hero has 500-600, villain covers. Hero is CO with [A](/spades)[2](/spades). 2 limpers, hero raises to $25, button calls, MP calls. Flop is [2](/clubs)[2](/hearts)[T](/clubs). Checks to me, I bet $55, button flats, MP folds. Villain is a gambler, but decently competent. Turn is [J](/hearts).On the turn I lead out for $125. Villain tanks for a bit, and calls. I think he could have AT/AJ or maybe two overs and a flush draw. River is [9](/hearts). At this point I'm scared of a random KQ or maybe Ax of hearts (I wouldn't put it past the villain to call with just K or A high on that flop). Anyways, whats my river move here? I think shove might be right, but I don't know if anything I beat will call. I think check/calling may be good also, so that in the event that he drawed out on me and I have the losing hand, I lose less.
Hand #2: I have [A](/hearts)[T](/diamonds) OTB, with about a 1k stack. There are 5 limpers, I raise to $30, BB and 2 others come along. Flop is [9](/hearts)[2](/hearts)[3](/hearts). BB leads out for $60, the 2 others call. I am getting great odds for my flush here, but with this many people still involved in the hand its obviously likely that there are other hearts in their hands. Should I call or raise here more often? I elect to call because I'm scared of a 4bet and the turn is: [J](/spades) BB leads out for $200, one person calls, the other folds. Should I call here? Villains are both huge fish. BB usually doesn't play so aggressively, so I'm thinking he doesn't have a flush and is trying to bet us out of the pot before a heart comes. Other villain could definitely have a flush, or any top pair-ish hand, really, I don't really know what to think of what they may be holding. Its reasonably likely that I get paid on the river, like I said, the villains in this hand are huge fish, probably wouldn't be able to fold a decently high flush (T+) to a value bet on the river.
These might be fairly standard situations but these were the hands that had me thinking the most. I still have a fair amount of leaks and I'm trying my best to plug 'em, so bear with my possibly dumb questions/thoughts. more
