[FR] EPIC SUNDAY: Polo match, Picking up an actual Princess, 6 #s, 2 Kisses and more, PART 1 (+ pics)
*Shit, this is a long read. I'm going to break it up into two parts.* Gentlemen - Going out in New York City can be a humbling experience. Because at any given point, there is someone who is **better looking** than you (male models), **better dressed** than you (fashionistas/hipsters), and someone who **makes more money** than you (investment bankers/private equity guys/heirs) **and all of them are trying to get laid.** But they aren't any better than you. Having the epiphany that you need to have GAME to set you apart from everyone else is an important one. It's the difference between being the guy that takes girls out to dinner and the guy that takes girls home after they go out. So here goes an Epic Sunday from earlier this month. Every year there is a free polo match that a ton of people attend on Governor's Island. There is lots of champagne (not free) and many attractive women there. With female/male ratio of 7:1 (with half of the men being gay), it's a feast for a PUA. This year I was with my new wings A and D. A was a former 'Nice Guy' that I've recently been hanging with. He has no problem talking to women, but he needed the [PG-13 vs. Rated-R Guy Speech](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTN54Gd_wDo&t=1m10s) to get out of a habitual friend zone rut. D, is a friend that's new to the city, but he's a natural. He doesn't need speeches. However, he's young and hasn't had his NYC epiphany yet. So after getting them up early, we head to the dock. Dressed resplendently in our polo match attire (think [Vineyard Vines WASP](http://www.districtweddings.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/VineyardVines2.jpg) ) we decide that because of the ratio, we would only approach HB8s or above. This would ensure we had appropriate social proof. D immediately talks with girls on the ferry ride over, while A and I discuss non-PUA related things. D gets the girls number and we head over to the polo grounds. As we arrive, we are surround by tons of girls. Almost like the reaction of an indoor cat when you let it outside, there was some slight sensory overload. Where to first? The line for champagne and food. D goes to get food while A and I get in the 30+ person deep champagne line. After waiting in the slow moving line for 20 minutes, A recognizes someone. She comes up, introduces herself, and they start chatting. About a couple of minutes of waiting solo, an HB8 taps me on the shoulder. > She opens, 'Hi, I love your shorts.' > I reply, 'Thank you, but they are mine and you can't them.' > She laughs and responds 'You are FUNNY, where is your girlfriend right now?'. I smile and turn slightly. I remember seeing her and a large group of girls far back behind us in line. Her friend, an HB7, joins her. And by then, I realize that she was just trying to cut in line by hitting on me. *Fuck it. I'm going to have fun with these girls.* > My response: 'Haha, I don't have a girlfriend. But clearly you and your friend are just talking to me to cut in line. It's pretty shady..." She is in shock. Her mouth drops to the floor of embarrassment. > "...But I respect your love of champagne. So my generous offer is that you are going to introduce me to all of your friends, in order get behind us in line." A glances over. He knows the drill. > "And you need to do the same for me," he chimes in. We get our champagne. D joins us. And head over to meet her girlfriends. 10 of them. HB7s and up. Perfect. > She states, "This is the_kitten, this is A, and this is D." > I announce to the entire set, "Did you know that HB8 hit on me in order to get a better place in line? Does she do that often? Wait, better question: Do you all of you do that?" We continue to make fun of her and her friends. # close with HB8 and one of her friends. A and D clean up. My crew heads back and sits with A's friend from line. They have a blanket where we can sit, drink, peruse the crowd, and most importantly, open girls that walk past us. The rest of the match was pretty much like this: 1. Girls walk by. 2. A, D, or myself opens them. 3. Throw witty game. 4. ... 5. [Profit](http://i.imgur.com/mydir.jpg) After a couple of hours of this, the match ends and we head back. D heads home with a girl. This leaves A and I to hit the ferry home. I make nice with a couple of nice Euro girls and A joins in.
